RHI travels to Listuguj for stretch tent training

We spent three days with enthusiastic riggers, keen to learn from the RHI team.

As the RHI client portfolio is quickly stretching across the globe, we were excited to receive our first enquiry from Listuguj.

Part of Gespe’gewa’gi – the Seventh District of Mi’gma’gi – Mi’gmaw (First Nation) is a vibrant community located in the southwestern part of the Gaspé Peninsula (Québec) in Canada.

Many events take place on the reserve, which is surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains and the Restigouche River. In search of a temporary cover solution that would be suited to a variety of occasions, The Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government decided to invest in two RHI-manufactured stretch tents.

Event organisers can either use the tents individually or by easily linking them together to form a large structure of 18m x 30m. The natural lines of stretch tents compliment the surroundings beautifully.

An occasion that everyone was looking forward to was the imminent “Pow Wow”: A traditional First Nation ceremony that involves traditional drumming groups and dancers from different provinces around the nation.

We were thrilled to have been invited by the Listugui Government to spend three days with an enthusiastic group of potential riggers for stretch tent training, keen to learn from the RHI team.

The pictures below prove how well the Listugui riggers faired, and we wish them the best of luck with their future stretch tent adventures.
