RHI’s Ecological Passion & Responsibility

At RHI Tents, sustainability is not just a trend. It is a fundamental responsibility.

As a stretch tent manufacturer, we are always taking proactive steps to significantly reduce environmental impacts, manage waste responsibly, and fully embrace circular innovation. The very nature of our product gives us a head start. Stretch tents are notably lighter than most other event structures, which immediately means reduced transport loads and lower energy consumption. This inherent efficiency is especially critical for our clients in the tented camp industry, where minimizing weight and building impact is everything.

Our lightweight designs, however, is only the foundation. Our true responsibility means looking beyond the product itself and examining every aspect of our operations. We are committed to minimizing all forms of waste, maximizing recyclability, and ensuring every decision aligns with our social responsibility to the environment, recyclability and sustainability. Our long-term vision includes achieving ISO14001 certification, a globally recognised standard for environmental management systems.

Building on Our ISO Journey

Achieving the ISO14001 certification, won’t be our first international certification with RHI being no stranger to the ISO standard. RHI has already achieved ISO9001, the world’s leading standard for quality management. The ISO9001 demonstrates our commitment to delivering consistent, reliable, and high-quality products to our customers. By working towards ISO14001, we’re extending that same pledge to our environmental responsibilities. These certifications together, reflect our dual commitment to uphold excellence in quality within the tents we produce while at all times working towards environmental responsibility in sustainable circular manufacturing. They show that for RHI, innovation isn’t only about tents—it’s about shaping a business that performs to the highest global standards, both for our customers and for the environment.

Turning Waste Into Opportunity

We’re committed to making sure every material offcut and piece of packaging is given a second life. We believe in viewing waste as an opportunity, which is why we’ve established two key partnerships to support our circular innovation goals.

Through our partnership with OpenSource Circular (OSC), we’ve diverted over a tonne of stretch tent material from landfill. Instead of contributing to waste streams, this material is transformed into durable, fashionable, and functional bags—products that combine sustainability, innovation, and style. This initiative ensures that every offcut, surplus, and retired tent contributes to a greener future.

In addition, our partnership with the Oasis Association helps us responsibly manage our day-to-day operations. This partnership ensure collection of all our packaging and production waste and ensure it is sent directly to a reputable recycling plant for proper processing. This crucial effort has already made a substantial difference in the contribution of saving hundreds of cubic meters of landfill space every month and substantially reducing our overall environmental footprint.

Our Carbon Savings in 2025:

RHI’s Carbon Savings Certification for 2025

This year alone, RHI has achieved over:

  • 22 000 kg of CO₂ saved

These numbers are more than statistics—they represent our dedication to creating a business model where sustainability and success work hand-in-hand. With ISO9001 already secured and ISO14001 underway, RHI is proving that quality and sustainability are not separate goals—they are inseparable standards that define who we are as a business.
