Temporary cover solution for The Artscape Theatre Centre

We showcase a setup by one of our partners for a high-profile event in Cape Town, South Africa.

Last year we published a series of articles that explored how our stretch tent partners are pushing the boundaries with extraordinary rigging configurations.

Some of these setups were small but very creatively rigged, like this rooftop cover solution in the UK, while others used multiple tents joined together to create mega stretch tent structures.

Today we showcase a setup for a high-profile event in Cape Town, South Africa, undertaken by the experienced team at Tentation.

Event Design Indaba Conference 2016
Location The Artscape Theatre Centre in Cape Town’s foreshore, South Africa
Rig span Three tents spanning over 600m²
Challenges This was an exceptionally difficult rig in an area that is notorious for high winds. Furthermore, no drilling or pegging was permitted, so existing points had to be used for attaching the large structure.
End result Careful planning paid off and the execution was a success. Well done to Tentation for pulling off a spectacular setup (under difficult circumstances) for such a high profile event!

This project serves to demonstrate just how versatile RHI stretch tents are in offering temporary cover solutions – anywhere.
