ABOUT RHI
Since 2005, we have been making stretch tents in South Africa. Our Cape Town factory brings together fabric development, engineering and skilled workmanship to create tents for events, hospitality spaces and the people who run them.
We knit the fabric, manufacture and test the tents, and help customers put them to work. Keeping those skills together gives us control over what we make—and practical insight into how it performs.

OUR BEGINNINGS
Founded by Rodney Ilderton in 2005, RHI grew around the possibilities of stretch tents: adaptable shelter, distinctive shapes and inviting outdoor spaces.
That curiosity and passion for well-engineered shade continue today through our work in lightweight tensile membrane design and construction. From fabric development to tent design and construction, we draw on our technical knowledge and hands-on experience to explore new ideas and improve what we do.
We are always learning, testing and refining, with the demands of everyday use in mind.
DEVELOPED FROM THE FABRIC UP
Our fabrics are unique to RHI. We knit them in-house on machines we have specially developed, giving us greater control over the fabric’s construction, quality and performance.
Our team brings the fabric together through precise stitching, seams and finishing, paying attention to the details that support durability.
Dependable performance starts with the way we work. We bring care, precision and a commitment to quality to every stage of manufacturing, because we take pride in what we make—and stand behind it.
Rigorous testing is woven into who we are. From materials and fabrics to edging and finishing, our manufacturing process is shaped by testing to ensure every tent performs as intended.

RHI tents have been exported to more than 80 countries worldwide, serving event operators, venues and hospitality businesses in a wide range of settings.
