Custom Stretch Tent Walkway at Easthampstead Park

This remarkable stretch-tent walkway at Easthampstead Park Hotel in Berkshire, United Kingdom, extends approximately 170 m through the grounds and may be the longest stretch tent ever made. The layout includes an 80 m covered path, a wider 21 m × 12 m custom tent and a further 67 m section towards the hotel’s King Suite event space.

Keeping the walking route clear of central poles was a defining feature. Alternating high and low perimeter poles support and shape the fabric from the sides, allowing the long walkway sections to twist and undulate without obstructing the middle of the path.

The wider tent opens the route into a gathering area before the cover continues through the grounds. The result is an unusual piece of fabric architecture that follows the landscape and connects the venue spaces, with the changing roof profile adding to the experience of the walk.
